Microscope Automation Products

ASI offers a wide range of products for automating common light microscopes. The products listed here deal with precise motion control. Whether it be one of our highly accurate MS-2000 or MS-4000 or MS-9400 motorized stage units with linear encoders that can provide scale resolutions of 20 nm and repeatability factors down to 300 nm in the XY coordinates, to one of our larger MS-8000 XY stages, ASI has the solution to your motion control needs.

Our SZ-2000 automates stereo zoom microscopes by combining motorized focus, automated zoom control, and even automated XY translation stage choices, with optional footswitch control.

The precision, quality, and unique features of our MFC-2000's make them the finest Z-axis drives in the world, whereas our innovative PZ-2000 and PZU-2000 have a piezo Z-drive incorporated right in the top plate of our XY stage. This precludes the complications of adding piezo components to microscope objectives for nanometer Z-axis control. Both products offer a very fast and accurate auto-focus option that runs off of any standard analog video signal.

The CRIFF Continuous Reflective-Interface Feedback Focus System provides a very high level of focus stability, substantially eliminating focus drift caused by temperature variations as well as mechanical drifts of the microscope mechanisms. The system monitors the distance between the objective lens and the specimen's cover slip, and commands an integrated ASI Z-axis drive to compensate for changes.

The PhotoTrack option allows you to automatically track a moving specimen. PhotoTrack keeps your free-moving samples in your field-of-view (FOV) when used with ASI's closed-loop DC servo motor XY stages.

In situations that require stepper motor devices, ASI can provide open-loop stepper motor versions of many of our stages and focus controllers as well as a stepper motor controller.

If you need to increase the throughput of your experiments, to acquire precise Z-axis sections for deconvolution or time-lapse imaging, to view multiple samples with a high degree of stability and repeatability, or to simply automate mundane tasks, ASI has the right product for you.
