====== Command:RESET (~) ====== ^Shortcut |~ | ^Format |RESET| This command causes the controller to do a software reset. A software reset re-initializes all variables back to their pre-assigned values and initializes all positions to 0. Saved settings and system flags are preserved across resets, but not saved positions. Therefore commands like [[commands:SETHOME|HM]] require a power cycle instead of a reset. To re-initialize settings to default, use ''SS X'' before the reset (see documentation for the [[commands:saveset|SS command]]; note that on Tiger ''SS'' is a card-addressed command). == Example == $ RESET :A --> Additional Notes about usage on Tiger ^ RESET is usually a '' Broadcast command'' but can be used as a ''Card-Addressed Command'' as well. When addressed to a specific card, it resets that card and then the Comm card (required to communicate with the reset card) without affecting other installed cards. <-- {{tag>commands tiger ms2000}}
