Solutions for Inspection & Quality Control

ASI offers a wide range of products for inspection. We can automate just about any feature of a common light microscope to increase worker productivity, and reduce repetitive motion. For example, our SZ-2000 model automates popular stereoscopic zooming microscopes.

Our MFC-2000 series of Z-axis drives have the capability of adding a very fast and accurate auto-focus option that runs off of any standard analog video signal. We also offer complete video microscopes, with or without multi-wavelength illumination.

We can provide precise motion control solutions for inspection and measurement. We can provide both DC servo motor or stepper motor stages with travel distances up to 380 x 380 mm, and our motorized stages are some of the finest in the world. In fact, our highly accurate MS-2000 and MS-4000 units with linear encoders can provide resolutions of 20 nm, and repeatability factors of 300 nm (typical) in the XY coordinates. To obtain much finer Z-axis resolutions, our PZ-2000 and PZU-2000 stages have piezo elements incorporated in the top plate.

The MT-2000 XYZ-Theta combines a rotary stage on top of the XY stage, plus, it can be configured with a fifth axis to control a motorized zooming video microscope.

For large XY stage systems, ASI offers the MS-8000 model with 200 x 200 mm of travel. Even larger stages are available -- contact ASI with your specifications.

In situations that require stepper motor devices, ASI can provide open-loop stepper motor versions of many of our stages, focus controllers, and linear positioners.

The GTS-series Gantry Translation Stages mount a video microscope on an overhead gantry capable of Y- and Z-axis movement over a platform that performs X-axis movement. Again, motorized zoom is optional.

Our DigBuster Thin-Film Inspection System optimizes the productivity of human expert resources by offering relief from hours of tedious manual inspection. The system is expandable for smooth migration from simple manual inspection assistance to an advanced system that automatically flags potential defects like scratches and digs for expert re-inspection as needed.
